Mechanical Manager in Operations
Manage the strategic dimension as well as the day to day activities for the Mechanical team
Manage the Mechanical Capability across assets, and enable a Community of Practice network for all three Mechanical Disciplines
Contribute to the wider Engineering leadership team
Support the AkerBP Technology and Improvement Agenda
Manage Mechanical Expertise to drive defect elimination, design reviews, RCFAs, Incident investigations, troubleshooting, major equipment work scopes and development of Performance standards
Review, prioritize and provide response to Engineering Queries from Operations and Projects
Manage mechanical activities associated with Hazop/Lopa findings, High Value Learnings, Alert Bulletins, Audit findings and engineering studies
Ensure that Operational risks are understood, controlled and continuously reduced
Capture, coordinate, disseminate and track shared learnings for the mechanical disciplines
Manage required competence and support to Projects, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate specifications
Review and provide input to Asset Mechanical strategy plans, and support the Condition Monitoring strategy
Manage critical Mechanical Contracts, and maintain relationships with key suppliers
Support Fit for Service barrier evaluations, gap closure plans and improvements
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and cooperate with other disciplines as well as personnel and managers within other business units

Master degree within a relevant technical area of profession, preferably Mechanical Engineering. A lower degree can be accepted if compensated by relevant experience
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience from the oil and gas business
Solid operational experience and familiar with industry challenges
Deep Competency within Mechanical Engineering, and understanding of Industry Standards
